 Exam A Grade 3 Term 3 English Writing Exam Specifications Duration: 45 min 

Students will be expected to: 

□ Fill in the missing letters to form words. Example: 

□ Fill in the missing word to complete the sentences. Example: 

□ Write a recount (A recount is retelling an experience or event in order to tell the reader what happened). The following is required 

o Write a recount with well sequenced events using descriptive words. o Write in the past tense to retell the events or experience. o Create paragraphs using simple and compound sentences. o Use a neat hand writing. o Correct punctuation. o Correct spelling especially high frequency words
