Present Simple VS Present Continuous

Warm up activity..

What do you do on Fridays?

Simple  Present  Tense

I go to the park.

Mona goes to the park.
I eat an apple.

He eats an apple .
I drink coffee.

Ali drinks coffee .
I play football.

He plays football.

What are you doing now?

• I am going to school.
• I am eating an orange.
• I am drinking milk.
• I am playing basketball.

Verb 1=is / am / are  + 2- verb+ ing

Activity 1 Speaking
Look at the pictures. Talk about the students and answer the questions.
What are the they doing? Where are they? What do you think they are like?

Present simple
We use the present simple to talk about routines and things that are true.

Present continuous
Study + s=studies

He is studying now.
